The aim of this first edition? To bring rarely seen works into the spotlight and give a voice to filmmakers inspired by this fascinating subject. Don’t miss selected screenings offering the opportunity to meet the directors and join discussions with special guests.

The program
Through films in a variety of formats - from feature-length documentaries to avant-garde fiction -, the Cinéma Fungi programme celebrates the creativity of filmmakers who dare to venture off the beaten track. We have designed a cinematic journey that transcends genre boundaries.
Whether scientific documentaries, dreamlike fiction, poetic short films or experimental works, each selected film offers a distinctive perspective on the fungal world.
After the screening
Encounters
Depending on the films and guest availability, some screenings will include an introduction or be followed by a conversation.
Directors, artists, researchers and people connected to the films can continue the experience with the audience, discuss a shoot or shed light on a particular context.
2027 edition
Open call for films
Geneva Fungi Fest invites directors, artists, documentary filmmakers, students, collectives and independent creators to submit a work related to the fungal world.
Submission requirements, accepted formats and technical information are provided in the form. No video file is required: a viewing link is enough.
